Fun trip@USS \^.^/

I took a day off from work, went to Singapore to spend some time with D during weekends. This time round, we decided to go to Universal Studio Singapore (USS) after hearing good reviews from colleagues and friends. It was an exciting trip! Had afew awesome rides and watched afew cool shows!! ^^

Before entering to USS.

Map of USS.

Few photos upon entering USS ^^

Main Attraction #1 –Madagascar

Took photo with Melman, Alex, Gloria, & Marty ^^

Main Attraction #2 –Far Far Away

Castle at Far Far Away- Dreamy look #^_^#

A crown fountain

Far Far Away’s stage show - Donkey Live!

It was an interactive ‘live’ show and we were singing along with Mr. Donkey ^^

Playing with the souveniers in the gift shop after watching the entertaining Shrek 4-D show __y

Main Attraction #3- Sci-Fi City

Meet the characters – People of Earth & 'rappers' lolz

The most exciting attraction at USS was this Battlestar Galactica roller coaster-CYLON (blue track) & HUMAN (red track) {{{(>_<)}}}

I took the CYLON ride and it was definitely an awesome experience of a lifetime \^.^/ I could feel my heart was dropping out and whole body felt stiff after the ride lolz

Main Attraction #4- New York

One of the attractions at New York – Lights, Camera, Action! Hosted by Steven Spielberg

Shattered window glass been blown away by the storm…

Took a pic with NY's yellow cab ^^

Posing in front the famous New York Public Library ▼.

Main attraction #5- Ancient Egypt– Revenge of the Mummy

Took the indoor roller coaster and was pleasantly surprised. It was my second favourite ride (since i just took 2 rides lolz) in the park with high speed loops through the darkness, sudden stops and unexpected backwards sections!!

Before that, meet some of the Ancient Egypt characters~

Main Attraction #6 –The Lost World

One of the main attractions at The Lost World – Waterworld

Really salute the actors and actress whom performed whole-heartedly with plenty of stunts and explosions to keep you entertained ^^ Worth a watch but pretty cheesy tho~

We missed out the Jurassic Park Rapids Adventure....

Main Attraction #7 –Hollywood

The universal Monsters in a rock-n-roll musical was cancelled on that day due to technical difficulties. And, we waited for 30 mins for the stage show!~ >.< Everyone in the crowd felt really disappointed and there was alot of “boo-ing” going on. I expected them to turn it around in the second slot after or so but too bad it did not happen. Some of the visitors were complaining to us that they purposely waited for the show to start before departing for the airport…. The management should really take into account to substitute the audiences with another show before they called it off!~

Finally, the famous Hollywood 'Walk of Fame' a.k.a mini replica

Bought some souveniers at the end of the day ^^

After a whole day tired but fun journey, we took our dinner at Food Republic at Vivo City and a stroll near Marina Bay~

Pre-Wedding photos preview ^^

We have finally finished our pre-wedding photo shoot approximately in 8 hours, phew! We started as early as 11am and finished at 7pm @.@ Thank God the weather sided us with clear blue sky when we went to Lake Garden for our outdoor photo shoot and started to pour when we were back for indoor shooting.

Most of the time was spent on the first bride's make-up (plus my bad skin condition) took around 1 hour to complete. Subsequent make-up took less than 30 mins each session and we spent about 3- 4 hours for outdoor photo shoot. I wasn’t really so exhausted, but was so caught up bending my waist the whole day that I felt the agony of the photo shoot the very next day due to all the “stunts” lolz As for D, he was just so tired of smiling and posing at the end of the day.

Anyways, here are some of the snippets:

Departure Lounge@Mont Kiara

Last weekend, me & D did our usual food hunting after some nice recommendations from my colleagues ^^ We ventured as far as Mont Kiara this time round *adventurous look* Went there as early as 10am (yes, we woke up at 9+am on a SUNDAY morning!~) to look out for the great food over there. After several attempts to look out for the hidden spot, we finally found the DEPARTURE LOUNGE located @Mont Kiara, Hartamas.

Upon stepping in the restaurant, we noticed the homely look of the restaurant with ample of travel books displaying on the book shelves. How I wish if we’ve got a big book shelve like dat@home! *hints*

Photos of places all over the world welcoming us ^^

After sitting for few minutes and no one was serving us, we realized that it is actually a self service order from the counter~ *paiseh* Ohwell, there are simply 3 easy steps to choose your order; 1st; Choose what you want to order from the wall menus, 2nd; pay the bill and lastly, just wait at your seats for your orders to be served.

I ordered a cup of cappuccino (D ordered the same and claimed that his leaf decorative cappuccino is nicer) =.=

I tried their signature club sandwich packed with ham, cheese, grilled chicken, half- boiled eggs and salad to make up a filling breakfast ^.^v

D’s sandwhich is more filling- croissant with slices of chicken, egg, tomato and lettuce tossed in the ceaser style salad. But, I still prefer mine ;)

Overall, the food is just nice but we thought it was abit pricey tho~ Needless to say, we skipped our lunch on that day~ Ohwell, however, is definitely a good way to spend your Sunday morning ^^

Memory~

Last week, a colleague of mine passed away tragically as she got swept into a current during her holiday at one of the local resorts/ beaches. She was probably caught in a rip-tide where she lost footing and got pulled around. We were all saddened when we heard the shocking news. She was only 33 and left behind a husband and daughter.

Although I was not very closed to her but she is a respectable person whom we’ve always looks upon as a capable superior. Her sudden death makes me ponder upon the meaning of life….. Every single day, we spend so much time rushing to meet deadlines/ working on a big goal but at the end of the day, but, do we really bring these materials down with us...? Or memories of our loved ones? Suddenly part of me was being swept away too, I felt that life is unpredictable and after the passing away of a close one, the only thing that cross my mind is to cherish our loved ones and to spend quality time with our family & friends.

My condolences to her families and May you rest in peace~
