CNY 2010

Happy WooHoo Year! *roars* How was ur CNY this year? Balik Kampung? Hope that everyone had a great time gathering & reunion dinner with family and friends ^^ CNY for me has always been gathering with relatives and catch up with frens. This year was non-exceptional. This year however was exceptionally hot season... As usual,I had a whirlwind shop on clothes even few months before CNY hehe {{{(>_<)}}} Niways, here are some of my backlogged stuffs to write on CNY ^.^ Reunion dinner this year was at Dragon Pearl restaurant in Seri Petaling. v had d usual7course dinner but the dishes were so so. On chor1,me and family started our 'bai nian' session to our cousins' house, just the usual chit chat, gossiping around and popping non-stop on the CNY junkies (shit!dun remind me about the kilos!) -____-" What's more,I was just boasting about the number of Yee Sang’s I’ve been having the other day to pe. Can't imagine my weight now for a continuous 5days~ But, the best dinner would be in Kam Lun Tai restaurant which is located at Seri Petaling. Mum told me that in 80s,Kam Lun Tai was famous for mooncake initially before turning into a "chan teng" well known for its dim sum & Chinese cuisine. We had a typical Chinese set dinner, started with Four Hot & Cold Combination. I heart d Baby Octopus *yum!* Second dish of d set was Shark's Fin Soup. This one was served in slightly bigger bowl than the usual ones with crabmeat that taste so nourishing, loved it ;)D Suckling Piglet was equally tempting with just nice fats.My bro's fav.!D next mouth-watering dish was d steamed "long dan" fish, simply delicious followed by a plate of Golden Crispy Prawns. D Salted Egg Prawns were thumbs up, yumzzz! For Dessert, we were served Crispy Pancake and red bean soup. D pancake definitely has my vote, yummy(*^@^*) Da above 8-course CNY set meal costs about RM 888 for 13 persons, excluding drinks. Worth a try ∩__∩v Also, spent sum time 'bai nian'@Chi Muis' hse and catch up sessions *gossip x2* V oso watched CNY Movie: 72 Tenants of Prosperity. Had so much laughter watching this “mo lei tau” comedy with generous amounts of slapstick ‵(*>﹏<*)′ Though my cousins didn't quite like it saying that it was messy & slightly irrelevant narrative (too many stars i guess),i thought it was just just nice to make us feel jolly & happy at that moment ^_^ Though, personally,i prefer Lee Hom's 'Little Big Soldier' ★~★ At night,me & andrea decided to check out the new club The Opera,at Sunway with my bro & male cousins tagging along (security purpose hehe) Nah, 1of them brought along their female friends as well...+,no cover for ladies since it was Wednesday night, yay! So! The Opera. It was different from the d usual clubs,it was brigther...hehe Probably the inside walls are white...Deco sumhow resembles d theatres and art houses with the random deco (i dunno wat is it called) #^_^# emblazoned in gold, along with the red PVC leather & silver sequins chairs & wall coverings. The bar had these cool masks as deco too! Thought d deco was quite artistic but not sure if it's a club/art gallery...We managed to catch d acrobatic show with local acrobat girls dangling on air? Well,it was quite cool...But,thought it was rather random. Niways, had so much fun carn-whoring and dancing with gorgeous Andrea ^.^ The music was really good!!! They were playing radio & club hits, pop, R’n'B stuff, and not so much on house. Bro had fun too shuffling to d tempo of music, glad he enjoyed it!

OK-DOKs,dat's all for my CNY. Hope that you all had fun too ^^ Wishing everyone that the Year of the Tiger will be a ROAARRRRIINNGG success and happiness!!! *Kung hee Kung hee*

V-Day

Ahh February 14. The day of love. This year so happen V-Day falls under the first day of the Lunar calendar. For this year, it could be headache to some. CNY? VDAY? VDAY? CNY? (╯︿╰﹀ Fret not, my Chinese frens…I’ve got solutions for you ∩__∩v

Tips for guys: (sorry gals!!!) Celebrate in advance + save cost ^^
Tips for gals: (in return…) Splurge it all!!! *winks winks*

Well, for me, this year V-Day marks the first year I had with D and we celebrated in advance and although it was 2 weeks earlier but it was just as sweet #^_^# We had a simple dinner in TGIF and D got me a bouquet of roses #^_^#

But, the gem of the night was the surprise prezzie I received. Initially, I thought it would be the usual “shop, pick & buy” 3 easy steps to wrap things up. But, *tada* a lovely Solvil et Titus watch. It had the looks that I’ve always wanted *drools* The swiss made timepiece caught my attention with its stainless steel chain and a glossy pearlised finish which I really fancy ^_^"

Sorry for rambling so much about a watch, but owning your first branded mechancial does have some sentimental value o hehe So here are some shots I took of it…

“Time is Love” Note: This is not an advertorial.

So, folks, have a lovey-dovey V-Day and for single ones make the most of it by spending the day in the company of those you love or pamper yourself or start planning!!!

Wishing you a Happy Valentine's Day and a Prosperous Chinese New Year ^^v

XOXO

Sabah trip-Part 3

Here comes my food raves in KK {{{(>_<)}}} Nottin much, just some local delicacies in Sabah which is unusual in KL. Mee Tuaran, a special kind of fried noodle you probably can't find in KL. Is like Char Koay Teow in Penang or Kolo Mee in Sarawak. @1st glance,it looks like our local panmee but the sauce is different. The noodles was soft topped with deep fried onion & laced with "special" sauce,it was simply addictive. We also had a generous toppings of roasted pork and slices of fried egg rolls (I thought they were fish cakes initially) hehehe After the heavy breakfast, we headed to Gaya Street’s Sunday Market. The weekly market features a gathering of locals hawkers selling a wide range of items from traditional ethnic cultural souvenirs to pets and flowers. The one that caught my attention was the many colours kuih lapis ^_^ There was also performance by the locals playing the gongs & some local musical instruments. Soon after that, we scout for more food!!! On our way to Heritage Village, we saw many little stall by the roadside selling Kelapa Bakar (roasted coconut) and Lokan Panggang (grilled clams). I like both lot ^^ Especially the grilled clam marinated in kunyit sauce, yum! After the filling breakfast,we carried on to Kampung Warisan also known as Heritage Village where we can view the different types of traditional houses of the various indigenous groups of Sabah. As we walked along the footpath, we can't help but be amazed by the serenity of the park and its surroundings. We proceeded to Rungus Longhouse, the subgroup of the KadazanDusun community. Each Rungus Longhouse comprises a long gallery or corridor where socializing and community activities takes place, each with own sleeping unit, areas for cooking and working. They also commercialised on the Longhouse by selling creative home-made beads by the Rungus community. Bought afew strands for souvenienrs ^^ Yea,i know i know i haven't got the chance to hand to you gals hehehe Will pass to u gals soon!!! Next,is d Chinese Farm House, the ambiance sumhow reminds me of those Chinese drama... So, thats about KK. If you are visiting KK, do keep in mind with the places & food ^^ XOXO sassycat
