Recap 2011 <{=•••••

Just one more day for the year to draw a close, so I took a moment to pause and reflect on the special moments I’ve made for 2011 #^_^#
Here are just a few of my highlights in 2011:

1st company trip to India
My first trip to India was exciting because finally I got to have face-to-face interaction with my India partners & clients {{{(>_<)}}} If next time I go, I plan to visit Delhi and Taj Mahal (hopefully) ^^

Bali trip
D and me took a Bali trip back in July ∩__∩y Nice and sweet trip ^^ Enjoy the beach, temples, spa & massage and food in Bali ^^ And, the proposal, of course #^.^#

The proposal
On our third night in Bali, D called me out to take pics at the balcony of the hotel. He was scribbling something in the air using his mini torch light. I was abit suspicious wondering what was happening O_o While he was trying to scribble “something” and when we were busy taking pics, suddenly D dropped to one knee and pulled out the red box from his pocket, asked me to marry him #^.^# X3
And i said yes #^.^# and cried my eyes out! hahaha Good thing nobody was in there at that time #^.^# When I opened the red box, there was no ring in there and I playfully kicked D and threaten to throw the red box to the garden hahaha And he quickly pulled out the ring from his pocket #^.^#
It was a very lovely ring (^_^)∠※
It wasn’t cheesy but just really him ;p
Thank you, D! This has got to be the sweetest trip ever #^.^#

Uncle Cheung’s concert
This has got to be the best concert I’ve watched so far!! {{{(>_<)}}} The man is simply awesome with his showmanship! ^^ Can't wait for his next show/ concert! ★~★

That's just a few of the things that have been going on in 2011 - what have been your special moments? ^^ Goodbye 2011 and hope to have a great a year ahead!!

Uncle Cheung "1/2 century" concert in Malaysia ^^

Yea the world tour is finally here in Malaysia!! {{{(>_<)}}} After much abuzz and warm-up sessions by singing K the day before the concert, we finally managed to catch our beloved “God of Songs” tonight <333 Wore a red turtle neck blouse to match the ticket’s colour ^.^ While, my friend showed off her “FB- LIKE” t-shirt =.= To get ready for a shot with her Uncle Cheong’s banner lolz

The man appeared on stage around 8.20pm greeted by round of applause and cheers from the warm and friendly fans ^.^ Jacky donned an immaculate, white suit kick-start the concert with tap dancing. Didn't know he can actually tap dance! Wonderful performance to begin with ^^

This was followed by a short montage of videos starring himself and actress Shu Qi as a couple, directed by Andrew Lau. The movie tells the bittersweet from a couple to a married couples. During the show, he belted some of his most popular hits such as 'Hua Hua Gong Zi', 'Chu Wen', ‘Ni De Ming Zi, Wo De Xing Ming' and some of his tender love ballads. I was almost moved to tears in one touching scene during their wedding ceremony (kinda remind me of my future wed lolz) *emo* He even did a little cha-cha here and there to compliment the musical show. The cantopop singer even joked that he used to be a wood but he’s now a dancing wood lolz

After the jazzy musical performance, here came rock and roll! He reappeared in a glitter red suit and to much surprise, he performed a rock version of ‘Wen Bie’ livened up by laser /^.^/ There was even an electric guitar performance to officiate the rock performance. No offence but quite impressed that he still able to hop around like an Energiser bunny at his age!!

The well-loved Hong Kong performer even paid a special tribute to his deceased godmother, Lydia Sum by dedicating a song for ‘Fei Jie’ referring her as a very important senior and even performed a split at the end of the song. The audiences were momentarily in awe by the sudden surprise O.o Again, it’s hard to believe he’s 50!! Uncle boleh! He even jokingly said that “not to try this at home” lolz

After the show, he introduced his jazzy melancholic love songs to the audiences. Dubbed “ Private Corner”, he thanked the fans for coming and it marked his 101 concert *woah* He even whistled when he sang ‘Wo Zen Den Shou Sang Le’ *salute again* and I was almost touched to tears again︸_︸

Just as if it was not enough, he depicted a cartoon life-story of himself before continued to belt out his greatest ballad hits like ‘Xue Lang Wu’, ‘Li Kai Yi Hou’, ‘Qing Ren De Yan Lei’ with 'Mei Tian Ai Ni Duo Yi Xie', 'Xin Ru Dao Ge', ‘Yat San Zhong Gan Ni Zau’ and ‘Zan Ching Lau Lou’. Some of the couples were even captured in the camera on 'Ni Lai Ting Wo De Yan Chang Hui' *giggles* Me and my friend were singing and swaying along those love ballads like yesteryear #^_^#

Just when we were swipe away with the melancholic love songs, the Heavenly King turned around and broke out in dance on stage (° ο°)~@ And we went grooving and singing along to the upbeat dance tunes!! I even PUT MY HANDS UP lolz After performing to the non-stop dance tunes, the heavenly king even joked and said “I’m 50 years old now, I should take this opportunity and dance while I still can.” before breaking out to dance further. {{{(>_<)}}} Really salute the showmanship of this man!~

After a whirlwind journey back into time (and yes we started to feel backache & sore throat lolz) Imagine Jacky performing for a consecutive 3 hours!! The energetic bunny finally thanked the fans for making the show possible. He said “This could be my last concert and I don’t know if I will still able to dance during the next concert tour as I will be 75 years old on my 4fenzi3concert,” and ended the more than three-hour long concert with his ever- popular ‘Zhu Fu’ in a glittering cabaret dance set. It was just nice even without an encore ^.^

I hope we will still able to hear him singing live again >.< I heard from my friend the next day that we are considered lucky as it was his first performance in Malaysia and before the concert started the next day he announced that he was sick and apologized if he couldn’t perform well in the concert >.<

Overall, it was a good show and I personally thought he deserved to be crowned the KING of the ‘God of Songs’ lolz Even though it has been a week since his concert, but, the good memory is going to last for a few weeks, I think~ Ciaoz!!~

Michelle’s Oriental Wedding

It was an auspicious day for Michelle and her hubby, Khong Meng on last Saturday, Nov 26. And, I had the chance to be invited to this really posh chinese restaurant: West Lake Garden Chinese Restaurant@ Sunway Resort Hotel & Spa ^^

Arriving just past 7pm, we were just in time for cocktail party to mingle around and chit- chatting. Met up with a few other colleagues, whom dressed to nine and shortly after, we were ushered to our dining tables. The wedding dinner started at 8pm sharp sharp! And I were quite impressed already because the last wedding dinner I went to, dinner was served@9pm =.=

The grand entrance for the new couple ^^

Cosy and simple ambience ^^

Too bad not all seats were fully occupied~

Me in white dress #^_^#

My angelic colleague ^^

There were plenty of bright coloured tanglungs dangling on the bamboo sticks to cheer up the Chinese inspired wedding dinner ;)

Out of boredom, I played around with the effects on my foon by capturing a ghostly effect of the wedding banquet. It turned out to be quite spooky lolz

The chinese wedding banquet started off with much fanfare when all the zimuis donned in red walked out from the grand entrance towards the stage while sprinkling rose petals down the aisle before the bride and groom walked in ^.^v

After few dishes, this was followed by cake cutting ceremony and they did the pouring champagne pyramid thingy. Overall, the dishes that night were great and I personally like their nourishing “monk jumps over” soup comprising of shark fin, abalone and some chewy fish ^^ Just a little disappointment was their garlic chicken which was too salty for my tastebud ︸_︸

Red bean paste rolled up like a strudel, yummy!

I find their dessert, Mango Puree and Vanilla Ice Cream very unique. I’ve never come across one yet, and enjoy every sip of it ^^

Cool huh?

An obligatory pic with the newly married couple before bidding goodbye ^^

P/.s: Blessed wishes for the newly weds ^^

Vineria, BSC

Time flied and here came another birthday celebration #^_^# Sad to say, this year also signified my last year to enjoy life as a single. However, it’s always felt good to hang out with a group of close “zi muis” to catch up with each other. I’m glad that we still maintain our golden friendship after so many years.

To compliment my “prime” birthday celebration this year, we had a slightly posh meal in a fancy restaurant cum bar, Vineria in BSC. Upon entering Vineria, you would have noticed many Italian masterpiece were hanging on the wall and like most Italian restaurant, part of the décor is their Italian produce and wine on the shelves. Not only looking like an authentic Italian restaurant, one thing unique about this restaurant is the half moon shaped interior design. Great ambience to begin with!

After looking at the comprehensive list of the authentic Italian food, we finally ordered portobello mushroom pizza, pasta with smoked salmon & tomato based seafood soup. Overall, the food tasted good but the portions were not that big~ So, we ordered extra pizza in the end ^^ Carn-whoring around with the food, paintings, place, people and even entrance lolz

A pleasant place to hang out for an evening leisure with friends ^^

Thank you everyone for the birthday celebration and wishes *muacks*

The Big Bad Wolf Book Fair@MAEPS

D and I went to the Big Bad Wolf Book Fair last Sunday after we heard about the super cheap fair. Wanted to stock up some books for our new Ikea book shelf *kiasu*#^_^# We managed to find out the remote place which is located near MARDI, Serdang.

Super excited upon seeing many bookworms carrying bundle of books on their way back {{{(>_<)}}} The book fair was indeed a hit!! By the time we reached there, I realised their books were getting lesser. Not many left but we were still so excited about it ^^

We went crazy grabbing our favourite books as it costs RM8 ONLY in average!! It’s the cheapest book fair I’ve been to by far! Managed to get hold of some best-selling books ^6^ D even got some general science book because it’s filthy cheap!! RM20 for hard cover general knowledge book?! How crazy! Well, can’t resist to take a snap of my purchases that day ^^

Time to indulge myself in books once again =)

P/s: Look out for tram on your way to pick you up from their open car park to the hall ∩__∩y

Levain@Jalan Delima, KL

How was ur Raya holiday? Hope you had a great one! This Raya was no different to me, still stay in KL despite the long holiday - I took the opportunity to catch up with some friends though. Margie recommended that there is this great place that is suited for both family and friends gatherings & for a lovely cup of cuppa ^_^

Love the ambience of the bungalow-turned-into-cafe <3 A warm and cosy boulangerie (French-style bakery) with European deco café ^^

Accd.to Margie, who has been a frequent visitor to Levain,it is different from other bakeries as it bakes in a traditional stone oven and we can smell the aroma of baked goods in the air upon stepping inside the cafe (*^﹏^*)

There are varieties of breads and pastries to choose from. And a wonderful selections of desserts (cheesecakes, fruit tarts and macaroons) to indulge in (near the counter area). I ordered some macaroons and Margie had her fav.cheesecake ^^

I had my cup of latte, love the smoothness of the coffee ∩__∩y

Margie's cup of cappuccino with swirling little heart *droolssss*

Our slice of cheesecake with velvety texture, yum! A must try for cheese lover ^^

Our cutie macaroons ^^ Apparently, these are not as good as Natalie's. We thought these are too sweet~

Other pasteries taste good but too bad they were not served warm~

Such a pleasant day out with decent pasteries & delicacies AND plenty of gossips (Ops!)

P/s: I'll definitely visit this again!

Adios,

Day 2 (There came the hectic moment!~)

Hired a driver cum tour guide for our next 3 days trip, the charge is quite reasonable as we managed to negotiate for rp.300K+ around rm100/ day ^^ A humble &friendly guy (Like!) He was really helpful on our request, in fact, we managed to negotiate for 4-5 places in a day hehehe Regretted to take a pic of him though

Recommend us to Tanah Lot temple, temple standing on a rock formation in the sea("Temple of Land in the Middle of the Sea”) It is said to be a holy place to worship the Balinese sea gods. At the base of the rocky island, poisonous sea snakes are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruders…;(

There was a ceremony going on for Galungan festival, prayers were in their uniforms~

It was high tide (in the morning), you will see the temple is surrounded with water and we started to take some shots on the surrounding water...

And of course, some cute ang mohs in sarung *droolsss*

Wave shooting at Tanah Lot Temple, Bali… It was so nice to do nothing but just to look at the sea and listen to the sound of the sea…

Dropped by along our way for our early lunch to try their famous Babi Guling (Suckling Pig) ^^

It's similar with the roasted pork in Malaysia, is just that theirs are roasted in Bali special recipe (nice!)
There were vegetables, intestines, crispy pork skin, roasted pork, spicy special sauce and rice in the package ^^

We then, proceed to Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park located at Nusa Dua. The entrance fee was rp.50,000 per person (which was the highest entrance fee among the tourist attraction in Bali)

It is devoted to the Hindu god Vishnu, and his mount, Garuda, the mythical bird who is his companion~
That was the Mythical bird - Garuda Statue!

After the main entrance, we walked pass the lime stone- it was a nice spot for some photography, so, we took our chance ^^

The Flying Fox activity also available ^^

We continued to climb up the staircase and reached the Hindu God Wisnu statue (without hands)~

And we managed to sneak in to a statue of Vishnu's hand __y

The next stop we went straight to the ancient Pura Luhur Uluwatu temple
Once you pay the entrance fee, you will be given the 'Sarong' to respect to the Holy Temple

** Note: The temple was full of nasty monkeys though, had our fears they might steal our hat or sunglasses!

We climbed on the edge of steep cliffs and we were impressed by this breathtaking view of the cliff!

It took d an hour or so to finish taking beautiful views of the Indian Ocean ^^

Managed to take a shot of these two lover butterflies on d’s shoulder! ~*.*~

Dreamland beach, it is said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Bali ^^
Had our char grilled corn-on-the-cob ^^

Located near Jimbaran Bay, which we planned & heading for our dinner :)

Dreamland Beach has soft white sand and the beach is cleaner than the beaches in the main tourist areas- look at the crowd!

Jimbaran Bay

We chose this restaurant was because of the good reviews from the Internet, is nice if you are going for grilled Balinese seafood ^^

Managed to catch the beautiful sunset over here ^^

At night, we even had the accompany of moonlight and a small Un-Plug band! But, need to pay though =.=

Overall, the food was not too bad but it was slightly overpriced~
Kuta’s nightlife

We had our night stroll along the clubs at Kuta’s beach road ^^

And end up at Hard Rock Cafe right at the beginning of Kuta's beach road with live music from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m

We had fun and good times, the live music was amazing!

We even got ourselves lovely Hard Rock Café tees #^_^#
