Day 2 (There came the hectic moment!~)

Hired a driver cum tour guide for our next 3 days trip, the charge is quite reasonable as we managed to negotiate for rp.300K+ around rm100/ day ^^ A humble &friendly guy (Like!) He was really helpful on our request, in fact, we managed to negotiate for 4-5 places in a day hehehe Regretted to take a pic of him though

Recommend us to Tanah Lot temple, temple standing on a rock formation in the sea("Temple of Land in the Middle of the Sea”) It is said to be a holy place to worship the Balinese sea gods. At the base of the rocky island, poisonous sea snakes are believed to guard the temple from evil spirits and intruders…;(

There was a ceremony going on for Galungan festival, prayers were in their uniforms~

It was high tide (in the morning), you will see the temple is surrounded with water and we started to take some shots on the surrounding water...

And of course, some cute ang mohs in sarung *droolsss*

Wave shooting at Tanah Lot Temple, Bali… It was so nice to do nothing but just to look at the sea and listen to the sound of the sea…

Dropped by along our way for our early lunch to try their famous Babi Guling (Suckling Pig) ^^

It's similar with the roasted pork in Malaysia, is just that theirs are roasted in Bali special recipe (nice!)
There were vegetables, intestines, crispy pork skin, roasted pork, spicy special sauce and rice in the package ^^

We then, proceed to Garuda Wisnu Kencana (GWK) Cultural Park located at Nusa Dua. The entrance fee was rp.50,000 per person (which was the highest entrance fee among the tourist attraction in Bali)

It is devoted to the Hindu god Vishnu, and his mount, Garuda, the mythical bird who is his companion~
That was the Mythical bird - Garuda Statue!

After the main entrance, we walked pass the lime stone- it was a nice spot for some photography, so, we took our chance ^^

The Flying Fox activity also available ^^

We continued to climb up the staircase and reached the Hindu God Wisnu statue (without hands)~

And we managed to sneak in to a statue of Vishnu's hand __y

The next stop we went straight to the ancient Pura Luhur Uluwatu temple
Once you pay the entrance fee, you will be given the 'Sarong' to respect to the Holy Temple

** Note: The temple was full of nasty monkeys though, had our fears they might steal our hat or sunglasses!

We climbed on the edge of steep cliffs and we were impressed by this breathtaking view of the cliff!

It took d an hour or so to finish taking beautiful views of the Indian Ocean ^^

Managed to take a shot of these two lover butterflies on d’s shoulder! ~*.*~

Dreamland beach, it is said to be one of the most beautiful beaches in Bali ^^
Had our char grilled corn-on-the-cob ^^

Located near Jimbaran Bay, which we planned & heading for our dinner :)

Dreamland Beach has soft white sand and the beach is cleaner than the beaches in the main tourist areas- look at the crowd!

Jimbaran Bay

We chose this restaurant was because of the good reviews from the Internet, is nice if you are going for grilled Balinese seafood ^^

Managed to catch the beautiful sunset over here ^^

At night, we even had the accompany of moonlight and a small Un-Plug band! But, need to pay though =.=

Overall, the food was not too bad but it was slightly overpriced~
Kuta’s nightlife

We had our night stroll along the clubs at Kuta’s beach road ^^

And end up at Hard Rock Cafe right at the beginning of Kuta's beach road with live music from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m

We had fun and good times, the live music was amazing!

We even got ourselves lovely Hard Rock Café tees #^_^#

Eat, Play, Love and Stay@ Bali

We were having our 5 days 4 nights Bali holiday from 15th to 19th of July 2011. Booked our air tickets through Airasia.com for a full amount of rm700+ for 2 persons ^^ Not a bad bargain but I’m sure there are cheaper deals out there~ Overall, the trip was smooth & hectic!

Although, we could not follow exactly what we planned due to limited time, some of the attractions were skipped. That's make us an excuse to visit Bali again! Hehehe

Our bali travelogue as below:-
Day 1
- Touch down at Ngurah Rai International Airport of Bali, then check-in to Yulia Beach Inn in Kuta (Not bad hotel, just walking distance in Kuta beach area but room abit small than we expected & no hair dryer)
- Had our romantic stroll along Kuta beach #^_^# I've not done any picture post for very long. So there you go!

Dinner at Made's Warung (pronounced as “wah- rrong ma - dei") at Kuta Beach Street. We had our authentic Balinese food but thought it was bit overrated though probably the food is bit overpriced ~

Had Gado Gado (fried rice and vegetables with peanut sauce dressing) Balinese coleslaw ^^ And alo mode nasi goring ^^ Luv’ their sambal! :)

After dinner, we had a stroll along the streets@Kuta ︸_︸ We did some window shopping at Bali Galeria mall where I bought some souveniers for family & friends ^^

Tried their durian too! Bali durian is smaller and milder taste though~

Ok, that’s all for Day 1 entry ♥ TBC ♥

May 6- Chicken Pox

It all happened after I had my bowl of asam laksa on a Friday evening. I went to bed as usual and the next morning, I saw some zits on my face and apply some pimples cream on it to dry them up. I thought it must have been the asam laksa that I had last night as it seems like a greater outbreak than my usual one. No more asam laksa for me!

I started to feel feverish on the next day. Even my whole body was aching! So, I just pop in some panadols and went to bed. I realised something amiss when I woke up and touched my face which feels unusually lumpy (I know my normal face also not that smooth la) but then there’s afew huge, hard lump on my forehead. *faints*

Even my body developed “abnormal” red blotches. * faints x2* Then, it strikes me that I got chicken pox. So, I got to the nearby clinic immediately. Doctor was quick to tell that I had Chicken Pox. Prescribed some medicine and asked me to apply calamine lotion to ease the itch. X_X Got 1 week mc though. Dunno happy or what coz will have loadssa follow-ups on work once I got back office ︸_︸

More spots developed on the next day and they got itchier and itchier. {{{(>_<)}}} My face not even any better, it was red, blotchy and quite swollen. Sleep was also very uncomfortable on first few days. I spent the entire day concentrating on not scratching any part of my body in order not to be left with scaring, but then I ruined it during the night. Just prayed hard that these ugly and itchy poxes will end soon~

Thank God, after 3-4 days, it felt better, just still a little itch occasionally. Some poxes were yellowish but more on smaller reddish poxes. Now, just need the scars to heal over better. BioOil works for me but it was not good enough for the scars to fade off completely yet. *fingers crossed* Niways, just FYI so that you have some “idea” if you’ve not got them yet. Good luck!

P/s. I didn't take any pictures of ugly poxes, barely look at it myself!
P/s.2: Thanks for all the warm sms & fb post,it held me up! Especially when i'm all alone at home on the 1st day of CP

My first trip to India! ♥

Have not been updating my blog in the past few weeks. Lost my blogging mojo again. So, expect less updates but more pictures, bleh!

My first trip to India was a short one, just 3 days. And it was for working purpose but managed to slot in some time to go “jalan-jalan cari makan” and street shopping with my colleagues =)))

India is a busy country- busy streets, busy people and busy cars. But, the food to be had (mind you- selective street food though) is not bad. Before I draw any further, let me get started on the 1st day on my 1st trip ^^

After a good sleep in the plane, me and colleagues finally landed in Mumbai on March 9, about 11:30pm local time. Each passenger's bags are scanned and each passenger is scanned with a hand-held detection device. Men & women queue up separately at one end of the large waiting room. The men are instructed to put their bags on the conveyor and then stand on a small box at the front of the line while a male security guard scans them with the metal detector. Went through customs with no problems and waited for our luggage. Phew!

My first sight when I left the doors of Shivaji airport was a mass of humanity, many of them were carrying signs with people's names. @.@ We found our names on the signs carried by members of the Novotel Hotel where we were booked. They were extremely polite and helpful. But, mind the driving skills though! Indians drive fast, with frequent use of the horn as a precautionary tool. Cars share the road with motorized RICK-SHAWS, PEDESTRIANS, BICYCLES, DOGS, GOATS, AND MOTORCYCLES =) *god bless*

Shawarma King- Can you find resemblance to Burger King?

I love the brownies! ♥ YUMMEH!

And this is the best muffine ever! M still craving for them *slurps *

My colleagues with their picks! SWAADISHT!

How to not grow fat you tell me? But it was a great experience and even more fun than I expected! =D

That's all for India. Thanks for reading bai! ♥
