Thomas Cup:Malaysia beat Denmark@3-2 in the Quaterfinals

After much abuzz of the Thomas cup this morning in office,I was propel not to miss the quarter-finals today! *gung-ho* Me and colleagues were chit-chatting over yesterday match on how Japan took on Malaysia team. Surely,it was a disappointment as Japan was seen as the blackhorse in the match and unassumingly made way as the group champion for the quater-final matches.

Following yesterday lost,Malaysia team was coming back strong tonight in the battle with Denmark. Surely enough, Md Hafiz Hashim prove his worth with his aggressive prowess against Danish player;Joachim Persson. He managed to salvage the team and clinched the winning point in the decider thus placing the team to Semi Final (^.^v

P/s: All the best Malaysia team! U guys can do it! Boleh! Boleh! Boleh!

♥ Ice Kacang Puppy Love ♥

It was D first ladies movie night with my colleagues on some Friday ^^ After much hype about this movie which was scheduled to be released back in September 2009, here comes the instalment of our local production. A movie that gathers a bunch of top Malaysian chinese artist which story was set in early 80s in Penang. Sweet! We all had our share of laughter and shed afew tears (me- being a crying baby & chloe- being the sentimental one) #^_^#

Well, basically, the story is your cliché boy-next-door falls in love with the sassy kind of girl. To illustrate further, it revolves around a shy boy- Botak (AhNiu) and a brave girl- Da Jia Yu (Lee Sinje) who secretly admires her along with other likable characters of supporting cast: neat and tidy Prince Charming with “karipop” hairstyle (Victor Wong), your typical Ah Beng (Gary Chaw), quiet girl who's always sucking on a ice packet drink (Fish Leong) and among other fun characters.

This movie is about growing up stories, friendship blossom to love, mischievous pranks and childhood dreams. Remember the marble game? Playing fighting fishes? Humming to the hit song? Being rebellious & innocent? Or simply starting to develop feelings for the opposite gender? It rekindles fond memories of our childhood and teens which simply brought smile and laughter to us. * Chloe had an infectious laughter when the fat girl appeared on the screen with her rainbow make-up. CW made it a point to apply it on Monday! Lolz

I love the simple story with beautiful cinematography ( ^_^ ) It was like watching an international movie, somewhere along the last international movie I watched, Departure (Japanese movie). There are a lot of wonderful scenes with unique way of capturing the scenes. Nice!

NB: Go watch if you haven’t and be warned of roller coaster emotions!

Date Night

Den and I try and do a date night every week together. The catch is, we try and do something new together every time to keep us interesting #^_^# *aging factor* Last Saturday, we went to Tom, Dick & Harry’s restaurant cum pub located at TTDI, KL. Cosy spot to hang around, waiters are really friendly and dishes are ok but pricey. We started out with a bowl of creamy mushroom soup ^^ The porky dishes are popular there so Den picked on curry pork dish along with their specialties: toast and papadam. Me on d other hand, still stick to my all time fav.: creamy & cheesy spaghetti carbonara…yum!

We rounded the night off with a drink at La Bodega@Bangsar and voila! We had a lot of fun playing scrabble that night. It somehow sparked that problem-solving part of our brains which in turn brought out the cheekiness between us. The brain chemistry that is sparked off by doing something novel and fun builds a completely different rapport to what we have been together any other time in the week.

It was a silly and hilarious date night but a bunch of fun and though I loss, it was just as fun ∩__∩y

Fallen Angel

It was supposed to be a beautiful Wednesday morning despite the scorching sun. I was happily walking out from the monorail after a light-hearted chat with May. But,it was not a bright day to kickstart with. While I was gingerly stepping down the stairs,I felt a great force pulling my legs and the next minute I knew,I was falling down a flight of stairs!!!*horrors* The newspapers that I were holding were flung into d air and my heels were thrown a few inches off my feet. Lady luck was smiling at me and my hands intuitively grabbed on the stairs. Otherwise, I can't imagined if were to snowball down the stairs!!!*horrors x2* or if my face falls first down the stairs!!!*horrors x3* Niways,I was ok; just got afew of bruises on my knees and abit dizzy. There were two good Samatarians who were kind enough to offer me a helping hand. Both scooped me up under my arms, picked up my newspapers & heels and ensuring if I were ok before they left. How sweet! Niways,I thought I would have better wiki for some handy tips just in case if I were to swing into action again *touch wood!*

1. What to do when you fall downstairs? If you ever fall down the stairs, you should put an ice pack on whatever part of your body you hurt everyday, and you should wait a week until the pain is all gone, if the pain continues after 1-2 weeks you should see a doctor or you should take some medicine.

2. What do you do when you fall down stairs and can't move? Lie on a soft stop and place ice where it hurts.

3. What to do if you fall down stairs and got bruises? Take ARNICA - it'll help with the bruising!

4. What to do if you fall down stairs and hit your head? You should get checked out by a physician; you may still have had a concussion though it's not always obvious. Also, put some ice-packs on that knot of yours to reduce swelling.

It is sad, that i had to endure the pain alone... Luckily, there were some angels there to comfort me and acted so quickly to help me. To-you-know-who-you-are,thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Just-to-let-off-steam

I thought I was contented with my current job. My boss was understanding, the office was in kl area, require no travel, the pay was satisfactory and the work was manageable at times. Then,I got burn-out. As usual, Tuesday was the most dreadful day for me instead of Monday. It was an update meeting day. I had my usual fair share of head-ups on the upcoming events with my manager and got questioned for not achieving enough KPI & marketing this month *sigh*

At times,I mulled over the idea of taking a break from my job even if it's just for a short vacation. My tendency to take stress personally dampened my morale. Well,of course, life still goes on and I'm not sure if I could afford to live without income.

P/s: Fingers crossed that my CSR event goes well *pray hard*

~random rattles~

I was just discussing with Bunny the other day about our much ado adolescent problem till today (mid adult!) over zits. It has been a concern to both us since our teenage days. Researching most of the products in the market, the ingredient of the products, the possible causes of the pimples to sprout and solutions.People kept commenting and recommending various types of treatments. But,sad to say, there was no one effective solution.

There are many methods to alleviate the problem that we've compiled and discussed over the years e.g:dermatologically-tested soap,Chinese herbs,"bedak sejuk",dr.presription&antibiotics,Retin A and others which i can't recalled yet it is still not good enough to put an end to our acne woes.

Until recent,I've came across an effective pimples-buster for me (well,at least i can see more skin than pimples on my face now)#^_^# Before this, I've lost track of the many different brands of facial products I've tried in the market, but,it seems after i tried this product in sasa; Anti-Blemish Detox Skin Treatment from Methode Swiss, thankfully, the pimples on my face have cleared up somewhat though is yet to clear up completely. ^_^; Still,I need to keep up a good regime e.g:sleep early, watch out d food i eat & yada yada do's & don'ts.

Niway, just want to share my thoughts and to peeps with pimples out there, dun b frus. as this can be cured if not lessen. U just gotta try till u get it right ;p
